Lost Passport Report a lost or stolen valid
passport immediately!
For passports lost or stolen overseas, please contact the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. You can obtain the contact information at http://usembassy.state.gov/. Having a copy of passport will make the process of replacing your passport much easier. The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) was mandated by Congress in the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 to strengthen border security and facilitate entry into the United States for citizens and legitimate international visitors. WHTI requirements for air travel took effect on January 23, 2007. EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2009 Travelers entering the U.S. through a land or sea border must present a passport or WHTI-compliant document.
